Vasárnapi kirucc / Sunday going-out

Szerintem az egy nagyon kedves dolog, hogy Észak-Jutlandon (vagyis, itt, ahol lakom) minden Advent vasárnap ingyen lehetett buszozni meg vonatozni - a hivatalos indolkás szerint azért, hogy senkinek ne kelljen hosszan hezitálnia az "iszik vagy vezet" kérdésen a rokonoknál, barátoknál elköltött jó ebéd után.
Mondjuk engem nem az ivás motivált, de úgy éreztem, ideje kimozdulni egy kicsit. Mindig érdekelt Frederikshavn, ahol jártam már párszor, de a vasútállomást sosem hagytam el, mert itt kell átszállni a skageni kisvonatra. Tehát tegnap vonatra ültem, és bő egy óra múlva már ott is voltam. Gondoltam, sétálok egy jót a tengerparton, de súlyosan csalódnom kellett: az egész egy betonrengeteg, itt állnak a nagy kompok, amelyek Norvégiába vagy Svédországba viszik az utasokat. Én szeretem az ipari tájat is, szerintem pl. Koppenháhában kimondottan érdekes a kompkikötő, de ez nem olyan volt. Inkább Kőbánya-Kispestre emlékeztetett a lerobbantságával. Próbáltam izgalmas fotókat készíteni, de az alábbi lett a legérdekesebb.

I think it's really nice that in North-Jutland (where I live) one could travel for free on every Advent Sunday by bus or by train. According to the official explanation no one should hesitate between drinking or driving after having a nice lunch together with friends or family.
Actually, I was not motivated by drinking but I felt like going out a bit. I've always been interested in Frederikshavn which I traveled through a couple of times on my way to Skagen. So yesterday I took a train and after about one hour I was there. I tried to take a walk on the sea bank but I got really disappointed: the whole place is just made of concrete - this is the place where the ferries which go to Norway or Sweden stay. I like the industrial landscapes, I do think the harbor in Copenhagen is interesting but this one was not at all. I tried to take exciting photos, see the result below.



Úgyhogy inkább a belváros felé vettem az irányt. Itt tetszett a sétálóutca "bútorzata".

Then I rather faced to downtown. I liked the "furniture" on the pedestrian street.



Közben kigondoltam, hogy vacsorára ris à l'amande-t csinálok magamnak, a dánok kedvenc karácsonyi desszertjét. De hogy minden részlet a helyén legyen, vennem kellett hozzá egy "mandelgave"-t, vagyis mandulaajándékot. Amint ez megvolt, majd' négy órányi sétálgatás után búcsút mondtam Frederikshavnnak.
A ris à l'amande tulajdonképpen tejberizs tejszínnel és mandulaszeletekkel dúsítva, nyakonöntve meggyszósszal. Én kicsit továbbgondoltam, és mandula helyett marcipánmasszát főztem bele, meg egy kis reszelt citromhéjat. A szokás az, hogy amikor összejön a család, és nagy adagot főznek, el kell rejteni benne egy szem egész mandulát, aztán aki megtalálja a tányérjában, az nyeri a mandula-ajándékot. Mivel egyedül voltam, nem volt kérdés, hogy én nyertem, az ajándékom saját magamnak pedig egy cuki konyhai szett. Az elkövetkezendő napokban nagy hasznát látom majd...

In the meantime I found out that I should prepare ris à l'amande for dinner - this is the famous Danish Chirstmas dessert. But I wanted it with all the details, so I bought a "mandelgave" which means almond gift and after about four hours walk I said goodbye to Frederikshavn.
Ris à l'amande is rice cooked in milk and cream with sugar and almond slices and served with cherry sauce. I modified the recipe a bit and instead of almond I used marzipan and I also grated some lemon skin into it. The tradition is that when the whole family is together eating this food there is one single piece of a whole almond hidden in it and the one who find it is the winner. Since I was alone it was not a question that I won, so my almond gift for myself was a box of lovely kitchen utensils. I think it will be very useful for the next couple of days...
